Looking after horses in the rain is never easy! So, a big thank you to all our volunteers who have got drenched during the past week. We were lucky to have such dry conditions for so long this winter and the crops and gardens definitely needed watering. The four-footed residents don’t seem to mind getting wet and are certainly not worried that they do not look as clean and tidy as usual. There will be lots of serious grooming to do when the sun comes back. But for now, as horse carer Elly said in her weekly report, “Horses are fine. It’s muddy!” The upside to the weather is that the Spring flowers and blossom are looking beautiful, and the grass is green and growing.
