At the end of May the Minister for Animal Rights, José Ramón Becerra came down from Madrid and paid a visit to ARCH. He was shown round the Centre, heard about our work and met the horses. It gave us the opportunity to discuss the new animal laws which have created problems for charities such as ours and for the veterinary community. President Jill and our vet Rocio described these problems in depth and the Minister took copious notes. There has been a lot of talking since the laws came into effect, we hope that there may now be some action.
