Over the past few weeks ARCH has taken in seven new rescue cases. The Centre is full to bursting and volunteers are having to deal with a heavier workload in the hot weather. But it is difficult for us to refuse to help when we hear of an animal in dire need.
Last week we were told about a mare in Chiclana (Cadiz) whose plight had hit social media. Abandoned for several days without food or water under a bridge, she had come to the notice of SEPRONA thanks to concerned passers-by. Once again ARCH stepped in immediately, organising transport and bringing the mare to safety – and food.
“Camilla” (she did not have a name) is 20 years old, presumably discarded by her owner as being too old for further use. She is a sweet mare and is enjoying the attention. She is currently being assessed by our vet.
