After six months without a drop of rain here in Andalucia, it arrived with a vengeance this month and none of our residents (or volunteers!) would win any beauty contests at the moment. Fortunately, our equines all have shelters in their paddocks, though some choose not to use them. And there appears to be nothing better than a good roll in the mud for the horses, the donkeys are less enthusiastic about soggy conditions. However, everyone is happy because there is plenty of feed being distributed. A big shout out to our volunteers who are coping with the less than perfect conditions underfoot to muck out and carry hay. But the rain will hopefully stop soon and there will be mammoth grooming sessions! And there are always some rainbows ….
