Rescued in January 2026 from an unscrupulous horse dealer in La Linea.
This amazing old man has defied the odds and is still with us, and still with a strong will to live. Having lost his bonded soulmate we thought he might not survive but, in fact, he is slowly gaining weight and appears very content with his special diet and lots of attention. Of course, he still has problems, long-term starvation combined with age means he has little muscle and he suffers from melanomas, as do many grey horses. But he has kind eyes and a gentle character and we feel he is worth fighting for to give him a dignified and loving last few years.

Rescatado en enero 2026 de un tratante de equinos sin escrúpulos en La Linea junto con otros 11 caballos, burros y un mulo.
Este increíble anciano ha desafiado todas las probabilidades y sigue entre nosotros, con una fuerte voluntad de vivir. Tras perder a su alma gemela, pensamos que quizá no sobreviviría, pero, de hecho, está recuperando peso poco a poco y parece muy contento con su dieta especial y toda la atención que recibe. Por supuesto, sigue teniendo problemas: la inanición prolongada, unida a la edad, hace que tenga poca masa muscular y padezca melanomas, como les ocurre a muchos caballos tordos. Pero tiene una mirada bondadosa y un carácter apacible, y creemos que merece la pena…
